This bridge over the Meriç River serves as a continuation of the Tunca Bridge. The original of its inscription above the namazgah (prayer area) entrance was stolen during the War of Independence by the Greeks who occupied Thrace, and was later rewritten by Mustafa Uğur in 1966 after the old model. According to its inscription, the bridge was commissioned in 1842 by Sultan Abdülmecid. It is 222 meters long, 7.10 meters wide, and has 12 arches.
