Editor's Note
The plot on which this now-vanished building stood is designated as an "abandoned cemetery." Research indicates that the masjid was commissioned in the 15th century by Devletşah Hatun, the sister of Yakub Bey of the Germiyanoğulları, that it fell into ruin in 1877-1878, and that it was demolished in 1898. It is found to have had a single minaret, a wooden roof, and a cemetery extending all the way to the riverbank. Source: registration of the Devletşah Masjid at Block 228, Parcel 16, Kadirpaşa neighborhood, central district of Edirne, as a protected immovable cultural asset.
