It once stood in the Kaleiçi district of the central district of Edirne province. Ahmed Bâdi records it as a masjid with a wooden roof and a minaret on Firûz Çeşmesi Street. According to Ayverdi, Firûz Ağa died in AH 850 (AD 1446) and was buried in the Tatarhaniler Cemetery beside the grave of Sadık Baba. Rıfat Osman Bey relates that the mosque stood to the southwest of the Firuz Ağa Fountain, on the street facing the door of the present-day Italian Church (the St. Helena Catholic Church?), and that it had a large dome.
