In 1954 it was demolished down to its foundations and rebuilt, remaining partly faithful to the original. The original mosque is thought to have been one of the early Ottoman mosques. The square-plan mosque is covered by a wooden roof. Judging from the gravestones stacked in its garden, it is also thought to have had a graveyard. Source: [1] (2013).
