Editor's Note
It is suggested that it may have been built between 1900 and 1915. It is also noted, however, that it may have been built as a guardhouse on the Turkish border region during the Balkan Wars (1912-1913). It is said that the governor of Edirne at the time, Haci Adil Bey, had the project drawn up by the French architect Depre.
