Almost nothing of the fortress ruins remains standing. Fragmentary stretches of wall survive on the southern side of the hill, and to the east of these wall remains there are foundation stones and traces. Judging by the in-situ ceramics found on the surface, the earliest settlement dates back as far as the Chalcolithic period, though the fortress itself was first settled in the Iron Age. The surviving fortification walls were built from roughly assembled slate stones, with thicknesses of about 0.8 to 1.2 meters and heights reaching 2 meters.
