Built in 1967 near Taş Tabya in memory of Ethem Onbaşı of Niğde. In 1912, at the age of 19, Ethem Onbaşı came from Niğde Province to join his unit in Kırklareli to take part in the Balkan War. In 1912, against a 250-strong Bulgarian battalion attacking between Bomkaya and Yurttepe, he fought for four hours alongside three comrades from the machine-gun position at Taş Tabya; after his comrades were killed, he kept fighting for another hour and a half before being martyred.
