Editor's Note
The Hagia Nicholas (Aya Nikola) Church is the only one of the churches in central Kırklareli to have survived, even if only partially. It was built in the second half of the 19th century near Işıklar Avenue in the Hatice Hatun (Kocahıdır) district. Oriented to the northeast, the church has a basilical plan with three apses and three naves; the main entrance opening onto the narthex at its western end is two stories tall, while the main space is a single high story.
