Editor's Note
Two graves and fragments of a broken tombstone in front of the qibla wall of the Hızır Bey Mosque have survived to the present day. The larger grave here is said to belong to Abdullah Bey, a son or grandson of Hızır Bey, who died in Rebiülahir 858 AH (April 1454). It is reported that the mosque's graveyard was removed for road construction and that the historically significant tombstones were relocated to the mosque courtyard. The transcription of the stone slab leaning against Abdullah Bey's tombstone (T02) was made on 04.02.2026 by Mr. Engin Mutlu and Mr. Furkan Yiğit Gürleyik.
