The fountain was built in 1905 by Hacı Hasan Ağa of Kayseri along the old Istanbul road (Altuntaş, 1995). Set into the southwest corner of the courtyard wall of Kocahıdır Primary School in the Kocahıdır district, it was constructed as a single-faced wall fountain.
