It is said that this fountain, which no longer exists, stood in front of the Karakaş Mosque and was built together with the mosque by Karakaş Hacı Mehmet in 1110 AH (1698 CE). Set a few steps below ground level and reported to have retained its original state as of 1971, the fountain had a single-faced, undecorated design.
