Editor's Note
Built in 1860 with a floor area of 80 m2, the school stood right beside the Church of the Ascension of Christ. A drawing of the school by the Bulgarian painter Stoyan of Stara Zagora shows that the building had a rectangular plan, a single storey, a gabled roof and tiled covering, with four rectangular windows on its side façade and an entrance door reached by three steps. There was also a bell tower right beside the school.
