Editor's Note
The castle remains are located in a wooded area on a commanding hill, 7.4 km northwest of the village of Avcılar and 8.6 km east of the village of Karacadağ. The castle has largely vanished; wall remains can be seen on the ground as heaps of stone. In one section a 3×3 m piece of wall, built of rubble stone and lime mortar, can be seen intact. It is being damaged by treasure-hunters.
