The castle, located 2.8 km northwest of the village of Balaban and 5.3 km west of the village of Hamdibey, lies within a forest area and is completely ruined. The castle walls survive at foundation level as heaps of stone. The line of the wall can be traced from these heaps. Because the castle remains are unprotected, they are disappearing due to human and natural conditions. The traces of the walls can be seen as faint, barely perceptible rises within the soil. Treasure-hunters' pits and damage are visible at various points.
