Dupnisa Cave lies about 50 km northeast of Kırklareli province, in a wooded area 6 km south of the village of Sarpdere in Demirköy district. Consisting of two separate caves, one dry and one wet, Dupnisa Cave was registered as a Natural Protected Site by the Edirne Conservation Board's decision dated 10/07/1991 and numbered 942, on account of its natural values. Its degree (second degree) and boundaries were determined by the same Conservation Board's decision dated 11/10/2001 and numbered 6962.
