Editor's Note
It lies within the boundaries of Sulayurt village in the central district of Ardahan province. It is the cemetery of the Molokan people, who were subjected to forced migration during the Tsarist Russian period and lived in the region. The Molokans lived in the area from 1860 until 1960–1962. The body of the Polish-born Russian Lieutenant Colonel Karl Karlovich Rzhepetsky—found buried in his uniform with much of his body undecayed during a construction excavation on 26 April 2017 in Ardahan's Karagöl Neighborhood—was reburied in this cemetery that same year. Rzhepetsky is recorded to have died of illness in 1894, serving with the 20th of Russia's 1st Caucasus Army Corps.
