Tucked among the quiet streets of Fethiye, the Enver Yalçın Yörük Museum is a treasure house embodying the nomadic life of Anatolia and the cultural wealth of the Mediterranean region. The museum preserves the traditional life, artistic values, and historical heritage of the Yörük community and passes them on to future generations. In its broad collection, ranging from ancient ceramics to hand-woven carpets, traditional clothing, and household objects, the social history of the Fethiye region is vividly reflected. An interesting note: the Yörük weavings on display still inspire local artists and are used in contemporary textile designs. These cultural works carried out by the region also bear traces of the Lycian civilization and the Ottoman era.
