Location: The Isikli (Gere) Mosque in the Ardesen district of Rize stands on the coastal road. History: There is no inscription to provide information about the mosque's date or founder. The plaque placed at the building's entrance by the Regional Directorate of Foundations, as well as various sources, suggest that the mosque was built in 1887. Today the mosque has only a Quranic verse above the mihrab and an inscription bearing the craftsman's name on the minbar. Apart from the inscriptions, endowment records relating to the mosque have been identified.
