Editor's Note

Location: It stands in Seslikaya village (Agvan), within the Ardesen district of Rize. History: There are four different inscriptions relating to the building's history. The first is on the stone supporting the round-arched entrance door, just to its west. The text reads: "Abasinzade Seyh Osman, who had the arch of this noble mosque built." The second inscription, to the west of the first, is on the body wall and reads: "Masallah, SubhanAllah, year 1316." The inscription to the east of the entrance door bears the names: "Abasinzade Ali Usta, who founded this mosque, together with his companion Kurtoglu Mustafa Usta."
