Editor's Note
On either side of the entrance door to the prayer hall there are two rosettes and two inscriptions. One of the inscriptions states that the mosque was built in 1359, during the reign of Candaroglu Adil Bey, by a philanthropist named Kasim, son of Idris. The other inscription records that renovations were carried out in 1645 by Seyyid Ahmet and other benefactors.
