Editor's Note

During the years of the War of Independence, many volunteers supported the national struggle by carrying ammunition and munitions along the Inebolu-Ankara logistics line. Serife Baci was one of these volunteer heroes. To keep her memory and that of the other volunteer heroes alive, this monument was erected in Kastamonu's Cumhuriyet Square by Prof. Dr. Tankut Oktem in 1990.
