Yanık Han was built in the 17th century by Yanıkoğlu Hacı İsmail Ağa on Belediye Avenue in Kastamonu. Rectangular in plan and three stories high, the inn is surrounded by rooms arranged around a courtyard and by wooden corridors. Above the entrance on the south side of the inn is a kiosk masjid. Notable for its woodwork, this structure is one of the most original inns in Anatolia. As one of Kastamonu's historic treasures, it awaits restoration and opening to visitors. Yanık Han is also known as Kendir Han.
