Editor's Note
With an endowment deed dated AH 602 / AD 1206, this mosque is, according to the documents, the oldest mosque in Kastamonu. Reference: Nezahat Serin, Mosques of Kastamonu in the Seljuk and Beylik Periods, pp. 13-15.
