Location: It is in Sulak Village, recorded under its former name Cabat, in Rize's Pazar district. History: The only inscription on the building is a marble plaque on the entrance facade prepared in modern Turkish. Archival research on the mosque has yielded no clear information about its earliest date. However, it is recorded that upon the death in 1875 of Mehmet Efendi, who served as the mosque's imam without pay, his children sought to be appointed to this post, but as they failed the examination, it was granted to Hasan Efendi.
