Located in the Tekkeköy Caves Archaeological Valley, considered the earliest human settlement in the Black Sea region, the museum was created by restoring one of the area's registered old Greek houses. Opened on 1 March 2014, it displays arrowheads, spears, stone axes and bone replica materials spanning the Paleolithic through the Hittite and Phrygian periods, and is known as Turkey's first replica museum.
