Hançerli Mosque is a historic mosque in the İlkadım district of Samsun. It was built in 1871 by Mehmed Reşid, who commissioned the Bafra-born architect Şahbazzâde, replacing an earlier mosque on the same site that had been destroyed in the Great Samsun Fire. Registered to the Kırbaç Ali Foundation, the mosque collapsed again in the 1938 Kırşehir earthquake; when rebuilt larger its old minaret was preserved, the prayer hall was added in 1943, and a two-storey portico section on the north front in 1964-1965.
