Editor's Note
This is a double-arched bridge built over the Tersakan Stream on the old Ankara road in Çakallı Village of Samsun's Kavak district. Its inscription states that it was built in 1882. The bridge is still open to vehicle traffic and remains in sound condition. Built of dressed cut stone in masonry, it is about 6-7 meters high, with arch spans of around 3 meters. The central pier carrying the arches rests on the streambed, while the supports at the sides rest on the earthen ground.
