Editor's Note
At the village entrance, toward the village center and about a hundred meters beyond the village cemetery, the face of this fountain set against a courtyard wall is decorated with an oval rosette. The inscription of this partly altered wall fountain with corbelled eaves reads: "The water of Kawthar is a spring for lovers; may it bring delight to the souls of the faithful who drink it. The benefactor Mazlûm Hüseyin. Year 1142 (AD 1729-30)."
