Editor's Note
İncekaya Aqueduct is an 18th-century aqueduct over the Tokatlı Canyon, north of the Safranbolu district of Karabük. Built to supply water to Safranbolu, it was brought back into use through a large-scale restoration commissioned by grand vizier Safranbolulu İzzet Mehmet Pasha during his tenure (1794-1798). Made of rubble stone, it has six arches - one main and five auxiliary - is about 116 metres long, and rises roughly 60 metres above the canyon.
