Editor's Note
Located in the Vezirköprü district, the Köprülü Mehmed Pasha Namazgâh (open-air prayer area), which we believe was built around 1654, is partly damaged but remains the only namazgâh still standing within the city limits. With its mihrab and minbar, the namazgâh can be regarded as a fine example of Ottoman open-air prayer areas. It was restored in 2008.
