LEGEND: Şehit Müftü (the Martyr Mufti) completed his studies in Istanbul's Eyüp under Abdullah Kaşgari, then came to Vezirköprü and founded a large han and library. The han he founded is known to have stood where the shops opposite his tomb in the Abdülgani neighborhood are located. It is called the "Mufti's Han." The library is the two-story building beside his tomb. The books he wrote were transferred to the Samsun Gazi Library in the time of Governor Kazım Pasha.
