Editor's Note
Nerik is an ancient city located at Oymaağaç Höyük, about 7 km northwest of the Vezirköprü district of Samsun, on the eastern bank of the Kızılırmak River. This Bronze Age settlement, identified between 2005 and 2009, is associated with the Hittite town of Nerik that lay to the north of the Hittite capitals Hattusa and Sapinuwa.
