Editor's Note
The inn lies in the Karadere area at the 53rd km of the Kastamonu-Tosya road, within the boundaries of Bürnük village. The building, constructed as a wayfarers' inn, is thought to have been built in AH 922/AD 1516. Its founder is unknown. Because the inn is located about one stage's journey from the Atabey Inn on the same route, it is suggested that the building may be one of the inns constructed during the Atabey period.
