According to the photograph caption found in the Abdülhamid II Archive, it is described as: "Various mosques in different parts of the Imperial Domains: this is a photograph of the noble mosque, together with its school, built and revived in the village called Veliköy in Çorlu, belonging to the Imperial Estates." Since the building's present condition and exact location could not be determined, the settlement of Veliköy has been marked approximately.
