Editor's Note
It is a two-storey masonry building standing at the corner where Sinan Dede Avenue meets Zafer Street, in the Cemaliye neighborhood, Çorlu district, Tekirdağ province. Built in 1905, the building was used as a synagogue until the mid-20th century and was converted into a mosque in 1970. The pediments rising in stepped fashion on the north and south facades give the building a monumental character. Octagonal engaged colonnettes stand at the corners of the facades. The building, with its wooden ceiling and floor, has eighteen rectangular window openings on its facade.
