Editor's Note
It lies within the village of Demirler in the Saray district of Tekirdağ province. In the still-used cemetery there are gravestones in the form of standing stones (obelisks) about 3 m high. Most of these menhir-type graves are broken, and it is thought that they may date to the early Ottoman period (14th century) or possibly to the Avars and Huns. It was registered as a First-Degree Archaeological Site by decision no. 3063 of the Edirne Regional Directorate for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage, dated 11 June 2010.
