In the village cemetery located about 850 m southeast of the centre of Akıncılar village, in the Vize district of Kırklareli province, there are gravestones inscribed in Ottoman Turkish. The earliest legible gravestone is dated Hijri 1218 and the latest Hijri 1273. Some of the gravestones are intact, while others have been both uprooted and broken. The cemetery area contains numerous illegal excavation pits.
