Editor's Note
İnönü Cave is one of the archaeological sites that play a key role in understanding the Chalcolithic settlement dynamics of the Western Black Sea region. Systematic excavations carried out in the area have shown that the cave contains a long phase of use dating to the second half of the 5th millennium BC. The settlement offers important data on the lifeways, production strategies and cultural connections of Chalcolithic communities that remain little studied, especially in the inland parts of the Western Black Sea.
