Editor's Note
It lies within the village of Akçahatipler in the Çaycuma district of Zonguldak province. It stands in the eastern part of the village, which has two separate settlements. The two-storey mosque was built using the nailless timber log (çantı) technique. The wooden mihrab, minbar and pulpit inside the building are not original. There is an ablution fountain to the west of the mosque and a graveyard to the south. Although the mosque has no construction inscription, the inscription on its ablution fountain bears the Hijri date 1260 (1844/1845 AD), suggesting that it was built in the 19th century.
