Editor's Note
It lies within the boundaries of the villages of Kurtpınar and Ballıhoca, in the Muratlı district of Tekirdağ province. East of the newly built railway bridge, only two stone piers of the cut-stone bridge have survived to the present; it is thought to have been built in the Late Ottoman period (the last quarter of the 19th century). It was constructed on the section of the Istanbul–Edirne (Rumelia) Railway line — begun in 1872 — that passes south of the Ergene River. It was registered as an Immovable Cultural Property Requiring Protection (Group 1) by decision no. 4346 of the Edirne Regional Directorate for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage, dated 21.08.2017.
