This example of vernacular architecture is a two-storey building over a basement, built of brick faced with timber cladding. Although the timber cladding has fallen away from the façade walls in places, the surrounding walls are standing and sound. The front and rear façades have narrow, tall windows. The roof arrangement was altered at a later date. The entrance is raised over the basement on a curved approach and accentuated with woodwork. The wood carving above the door entrance shows breaks and losses in places due to neglect. The brickwork of the basement floor was later plastered over, concealing the brick bond.
