Apart from remains on two facades, it has collapsed entirely. Built of large cut-stone blocks with careful workmanship, it stands as an ancient monument. It is believed to have been a public building belonging to the ancient settlement of Heraclea Pontica. The structure is known as the Palace of Heraclius.
