The mosque located within the boundaries of the village of Hamidiye, in the Uzunkopru district of Edirne province, is thought to be the mosque shown in a photograph held in the Abdulhamid II Archive at the Rare Books Library of Istanbul University, titled: "[Mosques built in Corlu and Babaeski]: Opening ceremony of the Mehmed Han II Mosque and its school built in the village of Hamidiye. 30 Receb 1318 / 10 November 1316 (1900)."
