Editor's Note
It is located within the boundaries of the village of Doyran, in the central district of Edirne province. The site contains gravestones inscribed in Ottoman Turkish as well as menhir-type gravestones. In this cemetery, which was apparently used into the Republican period, graves built in the 1960s have also been observed. No longer in use today, the cemetery is in ruins. Some graves have been dug up by treasure hunters, and a significant number of the gravestones have been broken or damaged. It was registered as an Immovable Cultural Property Requiring Protection (2nd degree) by decision no. 11604 of the Edirne Regional Directorate for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage, dated 30 March 2026.
