Editor's Note
It is accepted that the structure was commissioned by the scholar Haci Hasan Efendi in the Hijri year 1257 (AD 1841/1842). The interior walls are painted white, and all the body walls bear dense hand-painted decoration in various figures. Where the ceiling meets the body walls runs a band inscribed with the Esma'ul Husna, the ninety-nine names of God. Rich woodwork is also seen on the gallery projection, the gallery floor, and the posts that support the gallery. The interior is covered by a flat ceiling. The ceiling rosette is circular, set within tiered polygonal forms.
