The Christian Cemetery in Trabzon was located on a sizeable plot on the northeastern slopes of Boztepe, where the Esentepe and Degirmendere neighborhoods meet. Greek, Latin Catholic, Protestant, Armenian, and pauper (Garipler) cemeteries were identified in this area. According to the 1935 records of the Trabzon Municipal Council, the cemetery covered roughly 5 hectares and 6,859 square meters. In 1962, 5,000 square meters of this land were expropriated, and that same year an educational building was constructed and assigned to Karadeniz Technical University as a temporary service building.
