Editor's Note
The Journalists' Association Mansion was built as a mansion in 1894. The structure was built by non-Muslims, and its date of construction is known from the inscription written in Latin numerals on the keystone above the entrance door. Originally built as a residence, the building has today been repurposed as the Journalists' Association and continues to be used for this function. Built as two stories, the structure bears the features of Trabzon's Neoclassical-period buildings and has survived to the present day with these features.
