Door inscription: Hazret-i Osman Paşa, with love of God, opened this gate of paradise to the world. The Fatih Mosque came back to life, as it were; a thirsting soul drank a cup of water. He brought joy and blessing to Ortahisar—"Enter, O people"—for this is the gate of His Excellency Forgiveness. No one is left wanting; what need is there for words? May God open a hundred thousand gates for him, and may his fame and renown spread far and wide. Zühdi offers good prayers for him; whoever knows his worth in every detail.
