The Eight-Pillared Bathhouse acquired its present architectural features in the 18th century, but its date of construction and its founder are unknown. The view that it is a Byzantine-era structure converted into a bathhouse after the conquest, along with its description in some sources as a Seljuk bath, points to the existence of differing historical assessments of the building. The structure is entered from its eastern facade and has a classical plan scheme consisting of changing room (soyunmalık), cool room (soğukluk), and hot room (sıcaklık) sections.
