The Trabzon National Textile Factory Ottoman Collective Company took this name in 1927 and was a facility bearing the identity of late Ottoman and early Republican-era buildings. This large structure, which has not survived to the present day, stood in the Gülbaharhatun district on the site now occupied by the Municipality Building. The factory's origins go back to 1907, when it was founded by the Armenian Aristidi Kozma under the name "Simyonoğlu Factory." It had different owners in later periods, and after the war it was taken over by a collective company formed by Trabzon businessmen.
